752 RES COP AND COUNTY OF LAMAR ON 5TH DAY DECEMBER 1947 ENTERED INTO LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THE USA0 •
RESOLUTION N0.
WHEREAS, the City of Paris and the County of Lamar did, on the '5th
day of December, A. D., 1947, enter into a lease agreement with the Uni-ted
States of Arnerica, by the terms of which the Government leased the Heal•th
Center Building in Paris to the City and County jointly; and,
UdHEREAS, the lease agreement provides that the City and County ivill
have an option to purchase the building according to the terms set forth
therein; and,
WHEREAS, the final payment of $1,339.00 is due November 30, A. I>.,
1957, one-half of which is to be paid by the City of Paris; and,
WHEREAS, upon the payment of said $1,339.00 the United States of'
America, according to its contract with the said City and County, requires
that it be given notice 30 days in advance of the intention of the City and
County to purchase said property; and,
WHEREAS, it will be to the advantage of the City of Paris to exer-
cise the option to purchase said property; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY GUUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS,
That the City of Paris does hereby exercise its option to purchase said
Health Center Building jointly with the County of Lamar, and the City
Manager is hereby directed to pay the Cityts one-half of the $1,339.00 to
the United States Government, and to forward this notice of intention to
purchase to the Housing and Home Finance Agency, directed to Project No.
Tex 41-390-F, Paris Health Center, Paris, Texas. That the United States
of America be requested by and through its proper agency to furnish a deed
to said Health Center, to the City of Paris and County of Lamar jointly.
