YVHEREAS, the City of Paris, by and through its duly elected City
Council, has heretofore engaged in certain street paving projects; and,
VJHEREAS, it has, in some cases, taken mechanicfs liens upon pro-
perties adjacent to certain streets, which were being paved and curbed
and guttered; and,
WHEREAS, on the other projects there has been filed in the Office
of the County Clerk, notice of the fixing of a lien by the assessment
provisions provided by the Revised Civil Statutes of Texas; and,
WHEREAS, on several occasions the total amounts have been paid
which are owed by the property owners; and,
4°lHEREr1S, there will, in the future, be several assessments paid
by the property owners; and,
WHEREAS, it wi.ll be necessary that releases be filed as the re-
spective property owners pay or discharge the amount owed by them to the
City of Paris; NOVJ, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the
Ca.ty Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to execute releases to any
or all of the property owners upon their payment to the City of Paris
the full amount owed under either a mechanicls lien or assessment lien for paving or curb and gutter. Tnat said releases shall be drawn for and ~
on behalf of the City of Paris, to be executed by the City Manager and
attested by the City Clerk.
