WHEF?EAS, the City of Paris has been interested in the dOvelopment
of a reservoir and certain channels near the City oP Cooper, which is tn
the Paris trade territory and trade area; and,
WHFREAS, the City of Paris has heretofore been interested in and
lent ita support to the procurement of such project; and.,
WHIIt.EAS, such project will be of material benefit to the entire
area surrounding the Citq of Paris; and,
WHEREAS, the Honorable Wright PaUman, Congressman from the Fi.rst .
Congressional District, has been highlq instrumental and successful in his
efforts to follow the Cooper Reaervoir and Channels Project in the House
of Representatives and before the Senate Appropriations Com~ittee; andr
WHEREAS, he has exerted material influence in such direction; "JOW,
THER.EFORE,
BE IT RESOLVID BY TftE CITY CGUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the
City of Paris does hereby express its sincere appreciation to the Honoxable
Wright Patman for his efforts on behalf of such project and for his untiring
work in getting such project started and underway.
