723 RES COP HAS BEEN INTERESTED IN CONSTRUCTION OF RESERVOIR AND CERTAIN CHANNELS• •
RESOLUTION N0. 723 ~
WHEREAS, the City oP Paris has for aeveral years been interested
in the construction of a reservoir and certain channels near the City of
Cooper, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, the construction of same will be of material benefit to
the entire area in and around the City of Paris; and,
WHEREAS, the Honorable Lyndon B. Johnson, United States Senator
from Tezas, has been active in and has successPully had the Seaate
Appropriations Coamaittee approve $275,000.00 for planning and $225,000.00
for construction purposes for the Cooper Reservoir and Channels; and,
WHFREAS, the said Lyadon B. Johnson has expressed such personal
interest in the project aPoresaid; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY TfE CITY COIINCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,, That the
City of Paris does herebv expreas its sincere appreciation to the
Honorable Lyndon B. Johnson for his untiring and successflil efforts on
behalf of the Cooper Reservoir and Channel project.
