721 RES COP HAS BEEN INTERESTED IN DEVELOPMENT OF A LAKE ON SANDERS CREEK. •
RESOLIITION N0. 721
WHERW , the City oP Paria has for eome time been interested in
the development of a lake on Saziders Creek for possible Puture vater
supply for the City oP Paris and for a recreation area near the City oP
Paris; and,
WHFREAS, the City of Paris has been interested in the area of
Big Pine and Colliers Creeks; and,
WHEREAS, the Aonorable Lpndon B. Johnson, United States Senator
from Texas, has been highly inatrumental aad successful in getting such
projects undervay by getting the Senate Appropriations Committee to
approve $40,000.00 for the survey on such profects; and..
WHFREAS, the development of such profects will be to the material
benefit of the entire area in and around the City of Paris, Texas; NOW,
THER.EFORE,
BE IT RLtSOLVED BY THE CITY CIXTNCIL OF THE CITY OF PAIRS, That the
Citp of Paris does hereby express its sincere appreciation to the Honorable
Lyndon B. Johneon, IInited 5tates Senator from Texas, for his untiring and
successful efforts in getting the initial appropriations started for the
survey for such projects. '
