656 RES CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZED AND DIRECTED CITY MANAGER AND FORREST AND COTTON TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS• i
RESOLUTION N0. 656 .
WHEREAS, the Citp Council has heretofore authorized and
directed the City Manager and Engineering Firm of Forrest and
Cotton to advertise for bids on Pro'ect g03-11-56 to furnish
materials and lap an eighteen inch ~1$n) water line on Center
Street and a twelve inch (12tt) water line on Pine Bluff Street;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Engineering Firm of
Forrest and Cotton have advertised for bids for the co mpletion
of such projeet according to plans and specifications subm:itted
by the Engineering Firm of Forrest and Cotton; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has received and opened bidB
for said project; and,
WHEREAS, the City Manager and Engineering Firm of
Forrest and Cotton have advised the Council and recommendeci to
the Council that the bid of F. S. Oldt Company, of Dallas, Texas,
which was in the amount of $3$,032.45, was the lowest and best
bid for the completion of such project; NOW, THEEEFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That the above and foregoing bid be declared the lowest and
best bid for the completion of such project, and said projeet
is hereby awarded to the said F. S. Oldt Company, of Dallas,
Texas, and the Citp Manager is hereby authorized to enter into
a contract with F. S. Oldt Company in accordance wi.th the plans
and specifications, if and when, as required by the plans and
specifications covering said project, the said F. S. Oldt Company
exeeutes the contract required in the plans and specificatians
and furnishes therewith the performance bond required in said
plans and specifications.
