WHEREAS, Col. James M. Caviness has resigned as a
member of the Board of Commiss3.oners of the Housing Authoritq
for the Citp of Paris; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to appoint a successor to
such Board of Commissioners of said Housing Authority; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY T'HE CI?Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the resignation of Col. James M. Caviness be, and
the same is hereby accepted, and the City Council of the City
of Paris hereby officiallp expresses its appreciatio n to and
gratitude for the unselfish and devoted services rendered to
the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority by the
said Col. James M. Caviness and:
BE IT F'U83'HER RESOLVED, That Luther A. Howerton is
hereby appointed to serve the unexpired portion of the term
to which Col. dames M. Caviness has heretofore been appointed.
