WHEREA>, heretofore, the City Council of the City of Paris has
authorized the purchase of a certain tract of land 75 x 87 feet located
at the i.ntersection of the Vlest Boundary Line of South Church Street
and the Sout?~ Boundary Line of rast Kauf*nan Streets fronting 87 fPet on
the Sottth Boundary Line of East KaufMan Street and 75 feet on the InTest
13oundary Line of South Church Street; and,
WHE-pEAS, the Continental Oil Comnany, a corporation, is in the
??roc.ess of makincr conveyance to the City of Paris of ±he aforesaid
pronerty; and,
'F'JHFRFAS, the Continental Oil Company, a corporation, desires to
lease said nroperty from the City of Paris for the purnose of continuing
its tilling station operations for a neriod of one (1) Year, or until
such time as the City of Paris is ready to reanodel and use the properties;

1^hat the Cit« of Faris lease said properties to the Continental
Oil Company, a corporation, the rental thereon to be one cent (1¢) »er
gallon of the gasoline sold on said prarises, and that the 1ea.se provide
for cancellation upon thirty (30) days written notice upon any firsl= of
the montn following the lst day of ?r1ay, 1957; otherwise tne lease to be
for one year frnm the date of Decenber 1, 1956. The City ~Manacrer is
hereby authorized and directed to er,ter into such lease with the Coritinental
Oil Companv, a corporation.
