638 RES COP APPOINTED A COMMITTEE TO INVESTIGATE AND RECOMMEND TO COUNCIL A PREVAILING WAGE SCALE. •
RESOLUTION ND. ~ -3 ; ~
WHEREdS, The City of Paris has heretofore appointed a committee
composed of J. I. Jackson, Clark Estest Jr., and J. M. Gladden, all of
whom are members of the City Council of the City of Paris to investigate
and recomaend to the Coancil a prevailing wage scale to be used on all
public works contracts engaqed in and upon by the City of Paris in
accordance rrith Section 2, Article 5159a, Civil Statutes of the State of
Texas; and,
WHERF.aSp after investigation, study and deliberation, said
commi.ttee has recoumaended a prevailing wage scale to be used on public
contracts engaged in by the City of Paris and have recommended that the
same be approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Paris;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COEJNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARISa
That the prevailing wage scale as submitted by the committee
aforesaid, and which is on file with the City Clerk of the City of Paris,
be, and the same is hereby adopted as the prevailing wage scale to be
used upon all future bid documents of the City of Parisp as prowided by
law. That the City Manager of the City of Paris is hereby authorized and
directed to make said prevailinq wage scale a part of all future bid
documents of the City of Paris, as provided and required by Section 2,
Article 5157a, Civil Statutes of the State of ?exas, until fwrth er order
of this Cuuncil.
