RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the variance request for the construction of curb and gutter and Final Plat for Victory
Baptist Church CB 316, Lots 1, Block A, being located at 3155 Pine Mill Road
POLICY ISSUE(S):
Plat Approval
BACKGROUND:
The Church is proposing to build a Family Life Center building behind the main structure.
The Church has built drainage flumes on the east side of the building to divert water away from the
houses to the east and built a detention pond on the west side of the existing church building.
The Church is constructing a water line and fire hydrant along with the proposed building construction.
The Church has asked for a variance request for the construction of curb and gutter along NE -1 1 S' St.
The request is attached.
BOARD/ COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
The Commission recommended approval of the final plat, subject to City Engineer's recommendations
by a vote of 4-0

SUBJECT: Victory Baptist Church CB 316 Final Plat
I have reviewed the final plat of the above referenced addition. It appears that the final plat
complies with the City of Paris subdivision regulations with the following exception.
1. The north boundary line bearing shown on the drawing is different than the one in the
field notes.
I recommend approval of the final plat upon submission of a corrected mylar copy with
signatures of the surveyor and owner prior to noon on September 7, 2012.

Dear Shawn,
This letter is to request a variance for curb and gutter along 3111 Street N.E. adjoining
the above site. There is presently no curb and gutter anywhere along the East side of 31n
Street N.E and the street dead ends a few hundred feet North of the subject property. Please
