"Residential vistrict", under the 'Lonino- Ordinance of the City of Paris,
on vahich there is located a retail grocery store, which was in operation
' as such at the time of the adoptior, of said Zonir.~: Grdinance, being Grdinance
; Iv'o. 1122, and which present use of such prope,rty constitutes a"Non-conforrning"
use of such property under th.e provisions of said Grdinance; and,
WHEREAS, the said aw'!'ier heretofore mde application to the
Building C%f'ficer of the City Of" Paris for a building permit, authorizing
the construction of R eight f"eet exte-sion on the rear of such building; and,
V7HER7AS, as reauired by the provisions ef such ordinance, the
said Building Officer denied such application f'or such permit; and,
W11ERF,AS, the said property owner ha.s appealed to the City Council
from such decision of said Buildirg officer, as authorized by Section 9 of
said Ordinance No. 1122; and,
VgiEREAS, sai~ appeal involves an application for special exception
to the regulations of' said zoning ordinance, and the Counai7. is of the opinion
that gublic convenience and welfare will not be subatantially or permanently
injured by the grantinE of such aBplioatior. and petition; and,

That Such req_uested and proposed extension of such non-conforming use be
gvanted and approved, and the Buildin,~ Officer of the City of Paris he, and
he is hereby, directed to issue to the sa' d henr,r Branr_on the required
buildinU permit for the con.struction and erection oF an eight feet exter.sion
of the retail graaery store building on the lot and premises rientioned abwe,
irnown and designated as No. 1146 N.E. 5th Street, upon receipt of the required
fee theref or .
