RESOLUTION N0. 534 .
WHEREAS, an election was held by the qualif ied voters of the City
of Paris on the 17th day of February, 1953, for the purpose of votir.g upon
the question, "Shall a Commission be chosen to frame a new charter?", and
for the ftzrther purpose of electing from the City-at-I,arge a Charter
Coimnisaion composed of fifteen (15) members, provided a majority of the
qualified vaters, voting on said question, shall have vated in the affirmative;
and,
WHEREAS, as required by law and as directed and provided by the
Charter and Ordinanoes of the City of Paris, such election was conductdd
and held at four(4) specifisd and designated polling places, that is, one
polling plaae in each of the four wards of said city; and,
yyHERFAg, sealed returns on said election by the eleation
officials of the four respective iroting boxes have been duly rade to the
Mayor and City Cauncil of the City of Paris, which returns show the follawing
results of said election, to-wit:
