t is necessary to enlax~gep extend and improve the ,~resent

sanit~ syste~ of the City of Paris in order to provide and furnish
adequate and sufficient seti7er lines for the protection of the health oj'
the inhabitants thereof and of acjacent territory; and
VJIiIIREAS, it is to tne advantage and best interest of the City of
Paris that the hereinafter described sanitary sewer line be constructeci
and installed; and
YV-HLRE',AS, it is necessary that time warrants be issued by the City
of Paris in payment af the contract price of such construction and in-
stallation; now, therefores
BE IT Rt-SOLVID BY TIE CITY COUIJCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:

Notice is hereby given that the City of Paris, Texas, intends to
enter into a contract for the construction and installation of a sanitary
sewer line, together vrith necessary appurtenances., as follawrs:
Beo nninb at a point South 7 degrees 20 minutes rjast 140.5 feet fran
the center of the most southerly boundary of a.175 acre tract of land
owned by the City of Paris upon which is situated a sewage lift station
known as the South Side lift station, said point being also a manhole :Lo-
cation where the line hereinafter described joins the proposed line ca:lled
the Orange Street Latdral; thence Sonth 19 degrees 54 minutes Vlest 225 feet
to a manhole, being also an angle point; thence South 46 degrees 54 minutes
'+Yest 670 feet to a manhole, being also an angle point and crossing the East
right-of-way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad at 660 feet; thence
South 73 degrees 09 minutes vJest 1,656 feet to a manholep being also azi
angle point, and crossing the i"rest right-oi way line of said railroad, being
also tne East riglitrof -way Line of the G. C. S. F. RR, at 90 feet, arid
crossing Vdest right-oi vray li.ne of said G. C. ~ S. F. RR at 190 feet, and
crossing the East right-of-way line of the T. P. F. R. Co. at 1621 feet;
thence North 40 degrees 05 minutes iiest 53 feet to a manhole, being also an
angle point; thence South 77 degrees 00 ninutes ~iest 1,351 feet to a manizolep
being the end of thisliline and crossing the West right-of -way line of said

and specifications prepared by the Gity Ln;ineer of the city of Paris zmd

It is the intention of the City of Paris to issue time vraxrants for the
payment of the full contract price for the construction and insta,l.lation of

said sanitary sewer line and agpurtenances not to exceed the principal
sum of FIFTEETd THOi.1S~eD A:dD I~JO/100 DOLL~.RS ($15,000.00) and to bear in -
terest at a rate not to exceed four per cEnt (k`,~~) per annum, to mature
serially, the ma.ximum maturity date not to be later than five years from
date of issuance. A tax vrill be levied and assessed to pay the intere,st
and create a sinking fund to retire such warrants as they mature.
It is the intention of the City Council of the City of Paris to enter
into such contract at a regular meeting thereof on the 8th day oi Septem-
ber, 1952, at the council room in the City I'all of said City, same being
the regular meeting place of saa.d City Council.
Sealed bids w211 be received by the City Glerk oi the City of t ar:is
for the construction and insta.llation of such sanitary sesver line and ap-
purtenances until 5 0'clock P. M.j, Septenber t3$ 1952. -Plans and speci.fi.-
cations tnereof may be obtai.ned at the office oi the City Ehgineerof t:he
City of Paris. ihe contract vrill be let to the loti7est responsible bidder,
but the City of Paris reserves the right to reject arXy and all bids.
This notice is given pU.rsuant to authorit'y conferred on the undersigned
Iviayor of the City of Paris by a resolution oi the City Council of the City
of Paris passed and adopted at a regular meeting thereof held on the l:lth
day of August, 1952.
