SHERE~xaS, the United States Government has o~'fered to
sell and convey to the City of Paris, the water _treatment,
pump station, and certain pipes, valves and fire hgdrants
connected therevaith and formerly in use at Camp Maxsy, Texas,
in connection with the water systen of the City of Paris,
and,
WHEREAS, there is a necessity for the enlargement and
improver.~ent of tne present water system of the Uity of Paris
in order to provide adequate Yire protection for said city
and to furnish suffieient water for the inhabitants thereof,
and ,
;d1i'ERLAS, it is to the best interest of the City of yaris
that such water treatment plant, pump station, pipes, valves
and fire hydrents be purchased Yor the use and benefit oP
the City oP Paris, and
tir'HEREdS, it is necessary that time warrants be issued by
the City of Paris in payment for the property conveyed to it
by the United States Government,
NOW, TIiENEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TiiT.+, CITY COUNCIL OF TIrE
CITY OF PARIS:
That the Mayor be, and hA is hereby authorized and directed
to cause tn-Qbe published, in accordance with law, in the Paris
News, a daily pewapaper published in the City oP Paris, the
following:

at Camp Masey, Teaas, in connection with the waterworka
sygtem of the City of Parie oxned by the United States
Government and offered to the City of raris at the cost

It is the intention of the City oP Paris to issue time
warrants for the payment of the property above set out,
such warrants not to exeeed the principal sum of FORTY
THOUSAND FOUR HUE'DRED TWENTY-EIGHT and 84/100 DOLLARS
(§40,428.84) and to bear interest at *.rate not to excead
four per cent (4%) per snnum, to nature serially, the
maximum maturity date not te be later than Yive (5) years
drom date of issuance.
It is tIIe intention of the City Cour_cil of the City
od Paris to purchase such property above set out at a Special
mesting of the City Council to be held on the llth day of
August, 1949, at the City Hall of the City of Paris in the
usual meeting room of the City Council.
T his notice ia issued and given pursuant to authority
conferred on the undersigned :dayor of the City of Paris by
resolution of the Citg 0ouncil adopted in regular meeting
the 25th day of July, 1949.
