BE IT RESOLVED BY T'riE 3I'11 COUNCIL of the City of Paris at a regulax
session of the City Council September 13, 1948 that the Fireman's and ?olicement s
Civil Service ~oimnission has promulgated rules and regulations of the classifiecl
service of the 'Jity of Paris, Texas in accordance c.rith Section 5 of "Ohapter 325,
Acts of Texas Legislature, regular session, 1947, said rules and re~zlations as
promulgated by said Commission on the z No day of August, 1948 are hereby approved.,
and such rules and regulations Sre hereby adopted.
The fact the Firemen's and Policemen's 'Oivil Service "iommission has no
rules and regulations to cover it in its actions creates a public emergency, re-
quiring that rules and charter provisions prohibiting the passage of a resolution
at the meeting at which it is introduced, and requiring suramission to a committee
be suspended, and the same is aceordingly done, and this resolution shall take
effect from and after this date.
Done at Paris, Texas the 13th day of September, 1948.
