Texas.
The election to be held in accordance vTith tiie general election lavrs of the State of
Texas insofar as same are applicable and not in conflict tiaith the provisions of the
City Charter. The fact that the callin.g of the election hereby called Within 90 days after September
~ 5th, 1947, appears to be made mandatory ny the provision.t of Article 1269m, Vernon's
Annotated Civil Statutes of the State of Texas, (House Bill 34, FiPtieth Legislature,
Re~,ular 5ession) an.d that this Resolution is presented first on the 13tn aaJT of October,
1947, creates an emerger.cy requiring that the rules and charter ;provisions proliibiting
