MMREAS., the public interests require that the City Abattoir be clisPosed
of for the folloxing x'easons:
1. That the conditions exi.sting at the time such abattoir was established
creating at that time a neoessity tharefor no longer 6xist•
2o That the revenue that can be produced fro ~eh~opeaa~t~~o~fa~Cthebam~ainir
bg the City is not sufYicient to maintaan ~d~ ~e ta'*Pa~r$ of the City and
tenance and operation of such is a charge
serves only a small portion of the inhabitants of the City.
3o That such abattoir is equipPed to slaughter animals only a►nd b7 such

operation there is a complete loss of approxdmately 60,000 ch a~~toir at an

THE FACT that disposition be ma►de of said abattoir at the earli~~t ~~eible
time creates a public emergency which is hereby declared~ requiM~
