MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> SEPTEMBER 10, 2001 <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met in regular session Monday, <br />September 10, 2001, 6:00 P. M., Paris Junior College, Applied Technology <br />1 Building, Room 1016, 2400 Clarksville Street, Paris, Texas. Mayor Michael <br />J. Pfiester called the meeting to order with the following Council Members <br />present: John F. Bell, Joe E. McCarthy, Richard Manning, Kevin Gray, John <br />A. Carter, Jr., and Benny Plata. Also present were City Manager Michael E. <br />Malone, City Attorney Larry W. Schenk, and City Clerk Mattie Cunningham. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Jeff Franklin with the Christian Fellowship Church. <br /> <br />Mayor Pfiester asked if there were any corrections or additions to the minutes <br />of previous meetings, there being none, the minutes were approved as <br />presented. <br /> <br />City Manager Malone advised the City Council that they had been furnished <br />minutes from the Paris Public Library Advisory Board, Main Street Project <br />Advisory Board, Airport Advisory Board, Band Commission, and Paris <br />Economic Development Corporation with no action being required. <br /> <br />At the September 5, 2001 Traffic Commission meeting, the Commission <br />recommended adopting the following ordinances. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2001-055 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF <br />THE CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING THE TRAFFIC <br />CONTROL MAP ADOPTED IN PARAGRAPH (B) OF SECTION 31-65 OF <br />SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; <br />MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE <br />SUBJECT; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES <br />IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE, <br />WAS PRESENTED. <br /> <br /> <br />
