BACKGROUND:
On August 24, 2012, Kari Daniel resigned from the Main Street Advisory Board leaving the Board short
one member. In order to comply with the Board policies, I am asking Council to appoint a member to
fill the unexpired term of Kari Daniel, which is June 30, 2014.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS,
APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD TO
SERVE THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF KARI DANIELS, WHICH EXPIRES JUNE
30, 2014; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AIVD PROVISIONS RELATED TO
THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the membership of the Main Street Advisory
Board of the City of Paris due to the resignation of Kari Daniels, and it is necessary to
appoint her successor; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris does hereby recommend the appointment
of to serve the unexpired term of Kari Daniels, which expires June 30,
2014.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby
in all things approved.
Section 2. That be, and he is hereby, appointed to
serve the unexpired term of Kari Daniels, which expires June 30, 2014, as a member of the
Main Street Advisory Board of the City of Paris.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
