<br />RESOLUTION NO.
<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 TO THE
<br />CONTRACT WITH RICHARD DRAKE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR
<br />PREPARATION OF SITE WORK AROUND THE NEW NESTED T-
<br />HANGAR AT COX FIELD AIRPORT; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND
<br />PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN
<br />EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 14th day of May,
<br />2001, in Resolution No. 2001-068, award the contract for "Cox Field Airport Preparation of Site
<br />Work Around New Nested T-Hangar" Proj ect to Richard Drake Construction; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the lOth day of
<br />September, 2001, in Resolution No. 2001-147, approve and authorize the execution of Change
<br />Order No. 1 to increase the quantity of earthwork and provide for the adjustment of the water
<br />line in conflict with the proposed storm sewer, providing for a net increase of $19,407.00 in the
<br />contract price, for a total contract price of $115,152.00; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer, Shawn Napier, acting as proj ect engineer, recommends
<br />the further amendment of the contract for said proj ect to extend the storm sewer to drain the area
<br />west of the new nested T-hangar, providing for a net increase of $3,012.00 in the contract price,
<br />for a total contract price of $118,164.00; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the form of Change Order No. 2, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should, in
<br />all things, be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute the same; NOW,
<br />THEREFORE,
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
<br />TEXAS:
<br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all
<br />things approved.
<br />Section 2. That the form of Change Order No. 2 to the Contract with Richard Drake
<br />Construction Company for the "Cox Field Airport Preparation of Site Work Around NewNested
<br />T-Hangar Proj ect," attached hereto as Exhibit A, to extend the storm sewer to drain the area west
<br />of the new nested T-hangar, providing for a net increase of $3,012.00 in the contract price, for
<br />a total contract price of $118,164.00, be, and the same is hereby, approved.
