BACKGROUND:
This project replaced or added 15 manholes in South Central Paris. This was the second phase of a
project to fix sewer problems in South Central Paris. The first phase replaced a sewer line in the 1100
Block of W. Sherman St. down to W. Washington St. and in 800 and 900 Blocks of SE 6`h St. at a cost
of $85,213.00.
The money for this project came through a grant from a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
from the Texas Department Agriculture in the amount of $250,000 and required a 20% match ($50,000)
from the City of Paris.
Staff recommends approving change order #1 in the amount of $570.00, this will increase the contract
amount from $115,269.00 to $115,839.00, making the final payment amount of $5,791.95 to B. Bray
Construction and closing the contract.
