DRAFT <br />LISA\RESOLUTIONS\CiJRRENT\Traffic Commission - 10-01 <br />January 31, 2002 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE TRAFFIC <br />COMMISSION TO SERVE THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF JOHN GOODING, <br />WHICH EXPIRES JUNE 30, 2002; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND <br />PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the membership of the Traffic Commission of the <br />City of Paris due to the resignation of John Gooding, and it is necessary to appoint his successor; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris does hereby recommend the appointment of <br />Angela Freeman to serve the unexpired term of John Gooding, which ends June 30, 2002; NOW, <br />THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things <br />approved. <br />Section 2. That Angela Freeman be, and she is hereby, appointed to serve the unexpired <br />term of John Gooding, which ends June 30, 2002, as a member of the Traffic Commission of the <br />City of Paris. <br />Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage. <br />PASSED AND APPROVED this l lth day of February, 2002. <br />Michael J.
