A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVINGAND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT NO. Ol TO THE ROUTINE AIRPORT MAINTENANCE PROGRAM (RAMP) GRANT, TXDOT PROJECT NO. AM 2002PARIS, FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR NEEDED ELECTRICAL REPAIRS AND OTHER MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS OF WORK; MAHING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 14th day of May, 2001, in Resolution No. 2001-069, accept the grant award for the "Grant for Routine Airport Maintenance Program," TxDOT ProjectNo. AM2001PARIS, in the total amountof $10,000.00, with the City of Paris providing $5,000.00 in matching funds; and, WHEREAS, it is necessary that the City of Paris perform electrical wark at Hangar H and other items of miscellaneous wark at Cox Field Airport, and it is necessary to amend the aforesaid grant to request additional funding; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris deems it to be in the best interests of the citizens of Paris to execute Amendment No. 01 to the Grant for Routine Airport Maintenance Program, providing for funding in the total amount of $8,300.00, with the local cash match being $4,150.00; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That Amendment No. O 1 to the Grant for Routine Airport Maintenance Program with the Texas Department of Transportation, TxDOT Project No. AM 2002PARIS, in the total amount of $8,300.00, requiring a matching cash contribution of $4,150.00, be, and the same is hereby, approved. Section 3. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, Amendment No. 0 1 to the Grant for Routine Airport Maintenance Program, under the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto. Schenk, City Attorney TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION GRANT FOR ROUTINE AIRPORT MAINTENANCE PROGRAM (Grant for State Assisted AirpoM Routine Maintenance) Amendment No. Ol . TxDOT Project No.: AM 2002PARIS TxDOT CSJ No.: M201PARIS The City of Pazis, referred to as the "Sponsor", and the Texas Department of Transportation, referred to as the "State," have entered into a Grant For Routine Airport Maintenance Program, TxDOT CSJ Number M101PARIS, executed by the Sponsor on May 14, 2001, and by the State on May 21, 2001, for the routine maintenance of the Cox Field Airport. It is in the mutual interest of the Sponsor and the State to amend the Grant at this time to update the necessary maintenance items and extend the term of the grant for the new fiscal year. The Sponsor's acceptance of this Agreement shall comprise a Grant Agreement, as provided by the Transportation Code, Chapter 21, constituting the contractual obligations and rights of the State of Texas and the Sponsor with respect to the accomplishment of the airport maintenance and compliance with the assurances and conditions as provided. Such Grant Agreement shall become effective upon the State's written Notice to Proceed issued following execution of this agreement. State financial assistance granted will be used solely and exclusively for airport maintenance and other incidental items as approved by the State. Actual work to be performed under this agreement is found on Attachment A, Scope of Services. State financial assistance, Amount B, will be for fifty percent (50%) of the eligible project costs for this project or $30,000.00, which ever is less, per fiscal year and subject to availability of state appropriations. Scope of Services, Attachment A, of this Grant, may be modified by letter at the request of the Sponsor with concurrence of the State if no additional funds are required. Only work items as described in Attachment A, of this Grant, or as described in the concurrence letter from the State are reimbursable under this grant. Sponsor shall request reimbursement of eligible project costs on forms provided by the State. All reimbursement requests are required to include a copy of the invoices for the materials or services. The reimbursement request will be submitted no more than once a month. The Grant is amended to include Attachment A- Scope of Services attached and made a part of this agreement. Work shall be accomplished by August 31, 2002 unless otherwise approved by the State. All other terms and conditions of the agreement are unchanged and remain in fuil force and effect.
