SUBJECT: REQUEST FROM MAXEY RIFLEMAN CLUB

BACKGROUND: Since at least 1975, the Maxey Rifleman Club (formerly known by other
names) has leased from the City a tract of land containing approximately 35 acres located at
Lake Crook to use as a gun range.
STATUS OF ISSUE: A request was received February l, 2013 from the club's officers
requesting renewal of their lease at Lake Crook. The club's lease expires December 31, 2013.

RECOMMENDATION: Extend an invitation to the club to attend work sessions regarding
possible development of Lake Crook and place an action item on a future agenda with regard to
renewal of the lease.
