RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, RATIFYING THE EXECUTION OF THE GRANTEE
SUPPLEMENTAL ACCEPTANCE NOTICE FOR ACCEPTANCE OF THE
TEXAS NARCOTICS CONTROL PROGRAM GRANT AWARD; MAHING
OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the l lth day of March,
2002, in Resolution No. 2002-052, authorize a supplemental grant application to the Office of the
Governor, Criminal Justice Division, for a Texas Narcotics Control Program Grant and,
WHEREAS, the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, has issued its
supplemental Grant Award entitled "Regional Controlled Substance Apprehension Program (Task
Force)," No. DB-01-A10-13854-03, for the period beginning June 1, 2001, and ending May 31,
2002, in the total supplemental award of $8,351.00, requiring the City ofParis and other Task Force
participants to provide $2,122.00 in the form of cash, for a total grant amount of $394,832.00,
requiring the City of Paris and other Task Force participants to provide $131,612.00 in total cash
match; and,
WHEREAS, acceptance of the same must occur within forty-five (45) days of the date of
said award, which occurred on April 10, 2002; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interests ofthe citizens ofParis thatthe acceptance
of said supplemental grant award be ratified and that the City of Paris continue to improve the
Regional Controlled Substance Apprehension Program in the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. Thatthe execution ofthe Grantee Supplemental Acceptance Notice for acceptance
ofthe Texas Narcotics Control Program Grantentitled "Regional Controlled Substance Apprehension
Program (Task Force)," No. DB-01-A10-13854-03, for the period beginning June 1, 2001, and
ending May 31, 2002, in the total supplemental award of $8,351.00, requiring the City of Paris and
other Task Force participants to provide $2,122.00 in the form of cash, for a total grant amount of
$394,832.00, requiring the City of Paris and other Task Force participants to provide $131,612.00
in total cash match, is hereby in all things ratified.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.

This Acceptance Notice should be signed by the authorized official named on the grant and returned to the
Criminal Justice Division (CJD) by May 30, 2002. The grantee will not receive any grant funds until this notice
is executed and returned to CJD.

signing thls Acceptance Notice below:
. The authorized official for the grantee accepts the grant award.
. The authorized official, financial officer, and project director, referred to below as grantee officials,
agree to the terms of the grant, including the rules and documents adopted by reference in Title I,
Part I, Chapter 3, Texas Administrative Code.
. It is understood that a violation of any term of the grant may result in CJD piacing a temporary hold on
grant funds, permanently deobligating all or part of the grant funds, requiring reimbursement for funds
already spent, or barring the organization from receiving future grants.
. The grantee officials understand that they must satisfy all special conditiofis placed on this grant
before receiving any funds.
. The grant must have three separate persons designated to serve as grant officials.
