A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE HISTORIC LANDMARK PRESERVATION COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF PARIS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the terms of office of Bill Lightfoot, Louise Hagood, Donald Wilson, Patricia Davis, Daisy Harville, Debbie Burks, and David Denney, as members of the Historic Landmark Preservation Committee of the City of Paris, did expire on June 30, 1998; and, the terms of office of Jo Miesch, Rick Powell, Michael Rhodes, William Cupit, Ed Ellis, Patsy Daniels, F. L McClanahan, and Flo Brunette did expire on June 30, 1999; and, WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris does hereby recommend the appointments of a member of the board of directors of a local financial institution, a person with nursery or landscape interest, a member of the Visitors and Convention Council of the Chamber of Commerce of Lamar County, a realtor, a member of the Lamar County Bar Association, a member of the Lamar County Genealogical Society, and and as members-at-large, for terms of one (1) year, beginning July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003; and the appointments of an architect, a historian, a member of the Paris, Texas Industrial Foundation, Inc., a member of the Lamar County Historical Commission, the Director of Aikin Archives, a member of the Lamar County Historical Society, and as a member-at-large, for terms of two (2) years, beginning July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2004; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That a member of the board of directors of a local financial institution, a person with nursery or landscape interest, a member of the Visitors and Convention Council of the Chamber of Commerce of Lamar County, a realtor, a member of the Lamar County Bar Association, a member of the Lamar County Genealogical Society, and and as members-at-large, be, and they are hereby, appointed to serve as members of the Historic Landmark Preservation Committee of the City of Paris for terms of one (1) year, beginning July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003. Section 3.
