RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR
FURNISHING LABOR, MATERIALS, AND EQUIPMENT AND FOR
PERFORMING ALL W ORK REQUIRED FOR GROUNDS MAINTENANCE
ON SPECIFIED CITY OF PARIS PARKS AND FACILITIES; MAKING
OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND
DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, in Resolution No.97-086,
on August 11, 1997, award the bid and approve execution of the Agreement for Grounds
Maintenance with T& D Lawn Maintenance; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore in Resolution No. 99-118,
on September 13, 1999 approve the Assignment of the Rights and Obligations from T& D Lawn
Maintenance to Renno's Lawn Care for furnishing labor, materials, and equipment and for performing
all work required for grounds maintenance on specified City of Paris parks and facilities; and,
WHEREAS, the term of the Agreement for Grounds Maintenance expires September 30,
2002, without the current contractor exercising the option to renew said agreement; and,
WHEREAS, the current contractor has exercised his right to terminate the contract following
sixty (60) days written notice to the City, and the Agreement for Grounds Maintenance should be
advertised for bids; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That such Agreement for Grounds Maintenance be advertised for bids to be
received after due notice at the office of the City Manager of the City of Paris, City Hall, 135 lst
Street S.E., Paris, Texas 75460, unti13:00 o'clockp.m. on Tuesday, the 3rd day of September, 2002,
or such other date as the City Manager shall determine, at which time said bids will be opened in the
City Council Chamber, City Hall, 135 lst Street SE, Paris, Lamar County, Texas, and bids will be
read aloud, tabulated and referred to the City Council for its consideration.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The City of Paris will receive sealed bids at the office of the City manager, City
of Paris, 135 First Street SE, P. O. Box 9037, Paris, Texas 75461-9037, for the
furnishing labor, materials and equipment and for performing all worked
required forgrounds maintenance on specified City of Paris parks and facilities.
Bids will be received until Tuesday at 3:00 p.m., September 3, 2002, at which
time all bids will be publicly opened at the City of Paris City Hall building, 135
First Street SE, Paris, Texas, read aloud, tabulated and referred to the City
Council for their consideration.
Information specifications and bid forms may be obtained at the office of the
City Manager, City Hall, 135 First Street SE, Paris, Texas 75460.
The City of Paris reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any
informality in bidding, and to award bids as may be advantageous to the City.
Time may be a consideration in the awarding of this bid.
Bidders are notified of City exemption from otherwise applicable sales and
excise taxes.
All bids must be submitted on City of Paris bid form.
Note: All blanks on bid form must be FULLY COMPLETED, including delivery
time, brand name, model number and/or series number, and bid price.
