A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL OF HAYTER ENGINEERING FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE STILLHOUSE ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; AUTHORIZING AN ENGINEERING SERVICES CONTRACT; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the l lth day of March, 2002, in Resolution No. 2002-058, authorize an engineering services contract with Hayter Engineering for preliminary work for the realignment of Stillhouse Road; and, WHEREAS, such alignment study has been completed, and the City of Paris is in need of engineering services for the right-of-way acquisition, design, and construction phases ofthe Stillhouse Road Improvement Project; and, WHEREAS, Hayter Engineering has made a proposal to perform such services, and the City Council finds and determines that said proposal is acceptable and Hayter Engineering should be awarded an engineering services contract for the same; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the proposal of Hayter Engineering, attached hereto as Exhibit A, be, and the same is hereby, accepted. Section 3. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, an engineering services contract with Hayter Engineering, under the terms and conditions and in a form approved by the City Attorney, for the right-of-way acquisition, design, and construction phases of the Stillhouse Road Improvement Project. Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage. PASSED AND APPROVED this 12th day of August, 2002. Michael J.
