citizen and presenting commendations to Firefighters Brian Palmer, Dan Frey,
and Ronnie Bass for excellence in the line of duty by extricating a person

Consideration of and action on an ordinance amending the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, by repealing Sec. 11-44,
eliminating the requirement for a bond by applicants for electrical contractors'
licenses, revising Sec. 11-91, adopting the National Electrical Code, 2002
Edition, and repealing Sec. 11-92.
Consideration of and action on the following resolutions:
Approving and authorizing the execution of the Certification Agreement
Between the City of Paris and Texas Historical Commission for
Participation in the Certified Local Government Program.
Approving and authorizing the execution of the waiver of the City of
Paris's eligibility to apply for a Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block
Grant and designating Lamar County as the recipient of the grant.
Authorizing the advertisement for bids for the demolition and
construction of curb and gutter, standard driveway approaches, and
reinforced concrete sidewalks for the Street Division of the Public
Works Department.
Authorizing the advertisement for furnishing and delivery of unleaded
gasoline and diesel fuel for use by various departments of the City of
Paris.
Authorizing the advertisement for bids for a lease on property located
on part of Lots 6 and 7, City Block 251A, being number 1231 N. Main
Street.
Granting the exercise of option to renew the Pasture Lease Agreement
with Carey Eatherly for the property located at Cox Field Airport for an
additional five (5) years.
Authorizing the City Attorney to declare a current hay lease of 170 acres
of Lake Gibbons property to be abandoned and in breach and
authorizing the advertisement for bids for the lease of the same 170
acres of Lake Gibbons property for hay crop.
Appointing a member to the Library Advisory Board to serve the
unexpired term of Keith Williamson which ends June 30, 2004.

Consideration of and action on the following Aviation Permit request for 2002-
2003 and approving the requested exemptions from Secs. 6-22 (d) and 6-28
(2) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris:
