In an effod to assist Council in assimilating and prioritizing goals and objectives, I
have had my secretary transcribe the notes I took during that portion of the meeting which
addressed the Council goals and objectives. A copy of that transcribed material is
enclosed; I hope you find it useful.

1. Benny Plata
(a) 10 houses demolished by October 2003. More code enforcement. (4)
(b) All Council/Departments to be more character minded. Treat people with
dignity and respect - both council and staff. (3)
(c) Better working relations with the County and other cities. (7)
(d) City Council plus Management - work to cut taxes and keep rates down. (7)
2. Willie Weekley
(a) ~ore economic development. (7)
(b) Improve streets, curbs and gutters, and infrastructure, water and sewer lines,
drainage. (7)
3. Fran Neeley
(a) Support Keep Paris Beautiful. (7)
(b) More space for the library (4)
(c) Finish sports complex. (7)
4. Iohn Bell
(a) Complete City Hall renovation. (?)
(b) Advertise/publicize Pumpkin Festival. (4)

(a) Budget - change the way we think - improve efficiency ? privatize vs doing it -
e.g. -water billing, garbage, etc.

(c) Do something about the huge glass pile.
(d) Departmental reports on what we've achieved for the year.
