DRAFT <br /> <br />F:~Attorney\Lisa~esolutions\CURRENT~ltousing Board for Owner Occ - 7-02.wpd <br /> December 6, 2002 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, DESIGNATING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE <br />HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PARIS AS AN AUTOMATIC <br />MEMBER OF THE HOUSING BOARD FOR THE OWNER-OCCUPIED <br />HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND <br />PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 12th day of <br />February, 2001, in Resolution No. 2001-013, appoint members to the Housing Board for the <br />Owner-Occupied Housing Assistance Program; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the membership of the board because it is intended <br />that the current Executive Director of the Housing Authority of the City of Paris be a designated <br />board member, and Ms. Crista Cherry no longer holds the position of Executive Director, <br />thereby necessitating the appointment of her successor; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris does hereby recommend that the person <br />serving in the capacity of Executive Director of the Housing Authority of the City of Paris, or <br />any interim or acting Executive Director, if applicable, and any successors thereof, shall <br />hereafter serve as a member of the Housing Board for the Owner-Occupied Housing Assistance <br />Program, at the same time replacing Ms. Crista Cherry, the former Executive Director; NOW, <br />THEREFORE, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things <br />approved. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That hereafter and without further action of the City Council of the City of <br />Paris, the person actively serving in the capacity of Executive Director of the Housing Authority <br />of the City of Paris, or any interim or acting Executive Director, if applicable, and any <br />successors thereof, shall be, and he or she is hereby, appointed to serve as a member of the <br />Housing Board for the Owner-Occupied Housing Assistance Program, for so long as they shall <br />continue in the capacity as Executive Director, thereby replacing Ms. Crista Cherry, the former <br />Executive Director. <br /> <br />Section 3.
