A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING AND ESTABLISHING A PRIORITY LIST OF PROJECTS FOR SUBMISSION TO THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Transportation actively solicits input from local governments regarding priority projects which said governments deem the most necessary and important for consideration for construction by the Texas Department of Transportation; and, WHEREAS, the submission of such priority lists on a periodic basis assists the Texas Department of Transportation and the affected local government to plan and prepare and appropriately budget for the construction of said projects as prioritized; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, deems it appropriate and timely to submit a list of priority projects to the Texas Department of Transportation for their consideration; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the list of projects attached hereto as Exhibit A, in the order of priority as deemed appropriate by the City Council of the City of Paris, beginning with the highest priority project first, is hereby in all things approved and authorized for transmittal to the Texas Department of Transportation for their further consideration and use. Section 3. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to forward said list of priority projects to the Texas Department of Transportation and to undertake any further actions and discussions with said Department related to the attached list of priority projects. City Engineer DATE: February 26, 2003 SUBJECT: Proposed Roadway Projects The Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) has asked that the City of Paris submit a list of projects we would like TXDOT to consider constructing. The project list will be forwarded with other cities and counties request for possible selection. If the project is selected it will be placed on a letting schedule. The preliminary list below is for addition, subtraction and ranking. · Grade separation (overpass) at Pine Mill and Loop 286 · Grade separation at Collegiate and Loop 286 · Grade separation at 19th S.W. (F.M. 137) and Loop 286 · Add a turn lane for north bound traffic on 20th St. N.E. (F.M. 195) to turn onto Pine Bluff and construct a signal light at Pine Bluff and 20th St. N.E. (F.M. 195) · Widen 19th N.W. (F.M. 79) to include a center turn lane from Bonham St. to Loop 286 · Widen Lamar Ave. to include a center turn lane from 20th N.E. (F.M. 195) to Collegiate · Widen Pine Mill Road from Loop 286 to Reno to a Collector level street (39 feet back to back width) · Widen Collegiate from Jefferson Road (F.M. 1508) to Loop 286 to a Collector level street (39 feet back to back width) · Widen 1st St. N.W. and construct a cross over to North Main at MLK in order to make it one-way for south bound traffic and convert North Main to a one-way street for north bound traffic from Graham St. to MLK · Add a outer loop from Lamar Ave. (U.
