ZONING COMMISSION
MARCH 3, 2003
The Planning and Zoning Commission met Monday, March 3, 2003, 5:30
P.M., Paris Junior College, Applied Technology Building, Room 1206, 2400
Clarksville Street, Paris, Texas with the following members present:
1. Reeves Hayter
2. Marshall Kent
3. Russell McCain
4. Barbara Forrest
5. Bobby L. Myers
6. Curtis Fendley
Steve Methven, the building official was also present.
The meeting was called to order by Reeves Hayter.
The minutes from the February 3, 2003, regular planning and zoning
meeting were approved with a motion by Curtis Fendley and seconded
by Russell McCain. Motion carried by a vote of 6 ayes and 0 nays.
Public Hearing to consider the petition of Joe Vanness for a change in
zoning from a One-Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF-2) to a One-
Family Dwelling District No. 3 (SF-3) With Specific Use Permit (39)
Manufactured Home, Lots 23 and 24, Block 3, Cedar Hill Addition,
being number 1115 28th NW.
The public hearing was declared open.
Joe Vanness, Farmersville, spoke in favor of the petition stating that he
wants to replace an existing mobile home with a brand new double wide
manufactured home. Mr. Vanness presented a picture of the new home
that would be placed at this location.
There was no opposition, the public hearing was declared closed.

Motion was made to approve by Curtis Fendley and seconded by Bobby
L. Myers, subject to the 2 lots being platted into 1 and the home being
double wide. Motion carried by a vote of 6 ayes and 0 nays.
Public Hearing to consider the petition of Cheryt Moore for a change
in zoning from a One-Family Dwelling District No. 3 (SF-3) to a One-
Family Dwelling District No. 3 (SF-3) With Specific Use Permit (39)
Manufactured Home, Lot 40, City Block 297, being number 3110 19th
NW.
The public hearing was declared open.
Ms. Moore spoke in favor of the petition stating that she wants to place
a mobile home on the lot next to her so that she can take care of her
grandmother who would live at this location.
There was no opposition, the public hearing was declared closed.
Consideration of and action on the petition of Cheryt Moore for a
change in zoning from a One-Family Dwelling District No. 3 (SF-3) to
a One-Family Dwelling District No. 3 (SF-3) With Specific Use Permit
(39) Manufactured Home, Lot 40, City Block 297, being number 3110
19th N~V.
Motion was made to approve as a double wide home by Bobby L. Myers
and seconded by Marshall Kent. Mot. ion carried by a vote of 5 ayes and
1 nay.

Public Hearing to consider the petition ofLeanne Sartor for a change
in zoning from a One-Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF-2) to a
Multiple-Family Dwelling District No. 1 (MF-1), Lot 4, City Block 255-
A, being number 2621 East Price.
The public hearing was declared open.
Leanne Sartor, 182 Preston Drive, spoke in favor of the petition stating
that she wants to place a duplex on this lot that she recently purchased.
Ms. Sartor may later place another duplex on this lot thereby requiring
multiple family zoning.
There svas no opposition, the public hearing was declared closed.
Consideration of and action on the petition Leanne Sartor for a change
in zoning from a One-Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF-2) to a

Motion was made to approve by Curtis Fendley and seconded by
Marshall Kent. Motion carried by a vote of 6 ayes and 0 nays.
