1. Call meeting to order.
2. Canvass the returns of the Regular Municipal Election held on May 3, 2003.
Consideration of and action on a resolution declaring the results of the
Regular Municipal Election held on May 3, 2003, for Council Districts 4, 5, and
7, declaring the winner in said election and acknowledging the results of prior
Council action declaring candidates as elected to office for Council Districts
4 and 5 as a result of having been unopposed for election to office.
Oath of Office will be administered to newly elected Council Members by
Municipal Judge Thomas Hunt II1.
Election by City Council of Mayor and Mayor Pro Tempore to serve the City of
Paris for the next year.
6. Receipt of report from the Planning & Zoning Commission.
Public Hearing to consider the petition of Phil Carter and Phillip Brandon
Carter for a change in zoning from an Agricultural District (A) to a Commercial
District (C) on Lots 1 and 2, City Block 399, being located in the 6000 block of
Clarksville Street.

Ordinance of the City of Paris, to amend Subsection 3-100 of Section 3,
Entitled "Zoning Districts Established," to expand the number of designated
zoning districts to include a Historic District (HD) designation; to add a new
Subsection 3-101 to establish overlay districts; to amend Subsections 8-101,
8-102, 8-103, 8-104, 8-105, 8-106, 8-107, and 8-108 of Section 8, entitled "Use
of Land and Buildings," to incorporate Historic Districts as designated
districts; amending Section 8, entitled "Use of Land and Buildings," to add a
new Subsection 8-400, entitled "Historic Districts"; and to add Subsection 8-
401, designating Historic Districts as overlay districts, and Subsection 8-402,
providing regulations applicable to historic districts.
Consideration of and action on an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 1710,
the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Paris, to amend Subsection 3-100 of

Ratifying the termination for cause of the City's grounds maintenance
agreement with Jack Ray Barton, contractor, and approving the
advertisement for bids for furnishing labor, materials, and equipment
and for performing all work required for grounds maintenance on
specified City of Paris parks and facilities.
Reappointing Gleb Bourianoff to serve as Medical Director for the
Emergency Medical Service of the City of Paris and approving and
authorizing the execution of an EMS Medical Control Agreement with
Dr. Bourianoff.
Approving and authorizing the execution of a contract for construction
of the softball field, including grading, grassing, irrigation, and infield
construction, for completion of Phase I of the Paris Sports Complex
project.

Approving and authorizing the execution of a contract for installation
of softball field fencing, including chain link fencing, backstops, and
dugouts, for completion of Phase I of the Paris Sports Complex project.
Approving and authorizing the execution of a contract for electric work,
including electrical distribution system, softball field lighting, and
miscellaneous electrical, for completion of Phase I of the Paris Sports
Complex project.
Approving and authorizing the execution of a contract for construction
of a sports pavilion, including a metal building, concrete slab, and
electrical and masonry work, for completion of Phase I of the Paris
Sports Complex project.
Approving and authorizing the execution of a contract for construction
of concrete flatwork and park amenities, including a concrete trail,
drain pipes, concrete flatwork, picnic stations, and playground, for
completion of Phase I of the Paris Sports Complex project.
