Call meeting to order.
Budget Workshop Session:
A. Consider and discuss proposed 2003-2004 Budget and accompanying
Tax Rate for the City of Paris.
B. Receive input from interested citizens of Paris proposing services or
projects to be included in the 2003-2004 City of Paris Budget.
C. Consider, discuss, and take possible action on amendments to the
2003-2004 Budget.
D. Consider and discuss adding additional City Council Work Sessions
regarding the Budget and Tax Rate.
E. Record vote on proposal to consider tax increase for calendar year
2003 for the City of Paris.
Consideration of and possible action on the following resolutions:
A. Setting the time and date for a public hearing on the proposed
amendments to the City of Paris proposed budget for fiscal year 2003-
2004.

B. Setting a public hearing on the proposed tax increase required to fund
and balance the proposed budget for fiscal year 2003-2004.
Convene in Executive Session pursuant to Section 551.071 of the Texas
Government Code, Consultation with Attorney, to receive advice of legal
counsel pertaining to pending or possible litigation:
A. Cause No. 66751, styled Campbell Soup v. Lamar County Appraisal
District, in the 6th Judicial District Court of Lamar County, Texas.
B. Cause No. 71750, styled Campbell Soup and Campbell Soup Supply
Company v. Lamar County Appraisal District, in the 62nd Judicial
District Court of Lamar County, Texas.
Consideration of and action on the following resolutions:
A. Authorizing and accepting a settlement on such terms and conditions
as the Lamar County Appraisal District shall deem appropriate in
pending litigation with Campbell Soup Company.
B. Accepting the Work Skills Enhancement Grant and approving and
authorizing the execution of an Employer Training Account Agreement.
