RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING CHANGE OF COUNCIL MEETING DATE;
MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE
SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, various City officials are scheduled to attend the Police and Fire Civil Service
Seminar during the time-frame November 10 through 12, 2003, which conflicts with the regularly
scheduled City Council meeting on Monday, November 10, 2003; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that the regular Monday meeting of the City
Council scheduled for November 10, 2003, be consolidated with the regular Thursday meeting
of the City Council scheduled for November 6, 2003; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all
things approved.
Section 2. That the regular Monday meeting of the City Council scheduled for
November 10, 2003, be, and the same is hereby, consolidated with the regular Thursday meeting
of the City Council scheduled for November 6, 2003, at 6:00 o'clock p.m.
Section 3. That a copy of this Resolution be placed on the City Hall Bulletin Board
giving notice of the rescheduling of the regular Monday November Council meeting, and that
the news media be informed of the rescheduled date in the same manner they are informed of
emergency City Council meetings.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
