A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PARIS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the terms of office of Paul Denney, Arvin Starrett, Linda Ryan, and Ann Rogers, as members of the Historic Preservation Commission of the City of Paris, expired on July 31, 2003; and, WHEREAS, the term of office of Barbara Wilson, as an alternate member of the Historic Preservation Commission of the City of Paris, expired on July 31, 2003; and, WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris does hereby recommend the reappointment of Paul Denney, Arvin Starrett, and Ann Rogers and the appointment of Barbara Wilson as members, and the appointment of Brian Wear as an alternate member, for terms of two (2) years, beginning August 1, 2003, and ending July 31, 2005; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That Paul Denney, Arvin Starrett, and Ann Rogers be, and they are hereby, reappointed, and that Barbara Wilson be, and she is hereby, appointed to serve as members of the Historic Preservation Commission of the City of Paris for terms of two (2) years, beginning August 1, 2003, and ending July 31, 2005. Section 3. That Brian Wear be, and he is hereby, appointed to serve as an alternate member of the Historic Preservation Commission of the City of Paris for a term of two (2) years, beginning August 1, 2003, and ending July 31, 2005. Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage. PASSED AND APPROVED this 13th day of October, 2003.
