MINUTES <br /> <br />Monday, August 25, 2003 Meeting <br />Historic Preservation Commission <br />City. of Paris, Texas <br />Santa Fo-Frisco Depot, 1125 Bonham St. <br />Chamber of Commerce Room <br /> <br />Item One: The meeting was called to order b) Arvin Starrett, at 4:07 PM, <br /> <br />Item Two: The roll was called by' Paul Denney, Recording Secretary, The following Commission <br />members were present: <br /> <br />Arvin Starrett <br />Ann Rogers <br />Paul Denney <br />Claudia Hunt <br />Jerry Raper <br />Sue Lancaster <br />Barbara Wilson <br />Beekl Norment <br /> <br />The following Commission members were absent: <br /> <br />Linda Ryan <br /> <br />A quorum was present. <br /> <br />Item Three: The August 5, 2003 minutes were approved as read. Ann Rogers made a motion to <br />approve the minutes. Barbara Wilson seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously <br /> <br />Itein Four: Arvin Starter1 called the public hearing to order regarding the possible designation of the <br />Santa Fe-Frisco Depot, 1125 Bonham Street, as a stead-alone historic landmark. No property owners or <br />citizens were present. Chairman Starrett then declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br />Item Five: A motion was made by Barbara Wilson that the Historic Preservation Commissioin <br />recommeod to the Planing and Zoning Comrrxiasion adoptloo of the Saute Fo-Frisco Depot as a <br />stand-alone historic landmark. Ann Rogers secoaded the motion and the motion passed ananimousIy. It <br />was noted that this recommendation would be passed on to the Planning and Zoning Commission fbi' <br />another public hearing and possible action. <br /> <br />Item Six: Several suggestions of'possible new members for the Historical Preservation Commission <br />were discussed. A metier, was made by Paul De~mey to table the item. She.
