MINUTES <br />Wednesday, March 12, 2003 Meeting <br />Historic Preservation Commission <br />City of Paris, Texas <br />Santa Fe-Frisco Depot <br />1125 Bonham Street, 4:00 PM <br />Item One: The meeting was called to order by Arvin Starrett, chairman, at 4:10 PM. <br />Item Two: The roll was called by Paul Denney, Recording Secretary. The following Commission <br />members were present: <br />Arvin Starrett <br />Paul Denney <br />Claudia Hunt <br />Sue Lancaster <br />Barbara Wilson <br />Becki Norment <br />The following Commission members were absent: <br />Ann Rogers <br />Linda Ryan <br />Jerry Raper <br />A quorum was present. <br />Item Three: Proposed historically-compatible exterior improvements to the Depot were presented to the <br />group by the City of Paris Engineering Department. These items were discussed with the Historic <br />Preservation Commission in conjunction with the Depot Design Review Committee. <br />Item Four: The minutes from the March 3, 2002 meeting were read aloud by Paul Denney, Recording <br />Secretary. Sue Lancaster made a motion to approve the minutes. Barbara Wilson seconded the motion and <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br />Item Five: Barbara Wilson reported on Historic Survey Firm interviews and grant possibilities. The <br />following individuals and firms are being interviewed: <br />a. Diane Williams <br />b. Architexas <br />c. Jim Steely <br />Proposals from these individuals and firms will be solicited. <br />Item Six: Possible meetings with the City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission were discussed. <br />A motion was made by Paul Denney to table this item until a later date.
