14-B Bldg&Standards (09/15/03) MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BUILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION Monday, September 15, 2003 4:00 P.M. Chad Brown called the Building and Standards Commission Meeting to order at 4:00P.M. 2. Roll was called. Ao The following members were present: Chad Brown Mary Crumpler Patrick Brown Harrell Tippitt Pike Burkhart Lucius Joe, Jr. Bo The following members were absent: Tommy Robinson Mark Rothfuss Brad Archer Billy Hill Ward Hall o Approval of Minutes of August 21, 2003: A motion was made by Pike Burkhart to approve the meeting minutes, Brown seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. and Chad o Public hearing to consider presentations by Code Inspector of the City of Paris, and owner(s) and / or lien holders of the below listed properties which have been given notice of a violation of City Ordinance that structures need to be demolished because of fire damage: Ao 2306 W. Kaufman Street, Lot 18, City Block 203 This property had been demolished prior to the hearing. No action was required. Bo 3171 Lamar Avenue, Lot 4, City Block 296 This property had been demolished prior to the hearing. No action was required. Co 2600 Pine Bluff Street, Lot 14, City Block 255-A Building burned on 06/20/00. Owner spoke and said building would be demolished this week. Patrick Brown made a motion that the building be demolished within 30 days with a $1000 per day civil penalty if the building was not demolished within the 30 days. The motion was seconded by Mary Crumpler. The motion carried unanimously. 933 E. Grove Street, Pt. Of Lot 12 & 13, Block 1, Fitzhugh Addition Mary Crumpler made a motion that the building be demolished within 30 days with a $1000 per day civil penalty if the building was not demolished within 30 days. The motion was seconded by Harrell Tippitt. The motion carried unanimously. 1702 W. Houston Street, Lot 10, Block B, Westview Addition Patrick Brown made a motion that the building be demolished within 30 days with a $1000 per day civil penalty if the building was not demolished within 30 days. The motion was seconded by Mary Crumpler. The motion carried unanimously. 5. The meeting was adjourned at 5:00 PM Brad Archer, Recording Secretary
