1. Chad Brown called the Building and Standards Commission Meeting to
order at 4:00P.M.

3. Approval of Minutes of Novemlwr 17,2003:
A motion was made by Pike Burkhart to approve the meeting minutes, and ~v1ary
Crumpler seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously-

~1r. Ken Cannon, the Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church, was present
to represent the property Owner, First Baptist Chureh- First Baptist has
recently gained possession of the property and tbey have asked for l)O days
to demolish the structure. Mr. Cannon statedthal 1/3 of the project" iii be
completed every 30 days to eomp1y with the request 01- 90 days. hrsl
Baplist will be using donated labor from members to complete Ihe
demolition, Mike Alexander recommended approval of the request.
Mary Crumpler made a motion that the building be demolished "ilhm 9()
days without any civil penalties. Pike ßurkhan seconded the motIon. The
motion canied unanimously.

There were no comments from the audience conccming this property.
Brad Archer made a motion that the building be demolished withll1 ,,0
days wÜh a 'Þ JOOO per day civil penalty and, if the building is not
demolished within the 30 day time period. the City will demolish the
building. Patrick Brown seconded the motion. The motion l'alTled
unanimously.

Ms. (¡race Johnson was present as Owner of the propel1y. Ms. Johnson
has been working on the property and stated that she needs :'0 days to
complete her repairs.
Mary Crumpler made a motion that the building be repaired wilhlll .'0
days with a SIOOO per day civil penaliy if the budding was not repaired
within the 30 days. Pike Burkhart seeondcd the motion. ¡he motion
carried unanimous1y.

There were no comments from the audience concerning this properly.
Pike BurkJ1art made a motion that the building be demolished within -'0
days with a $1000 per day civil penally if the building was not demolIShed
within the 30 days. Brad Archer seconded the motion, The motion carried

13th Street NW. Wrong address on paragraph two.
;\ motion was made by Pike BurkJ1art to approve the amendment and Chad
Grown seconded the motion. The motion ean'ied unanimously.
