1. The Historic Preservation Commission Meeting was called to order by
Chairman Arvin Starrett at 12:00 P.M.
A. The following members were present:
Arvin Starrett, Chairman
Barbara Wilson, Vice-Chairman
Paul Denney
Sue Lancaster
B. The following members were absent:
Claudia Hunt
Jerry Raper
Ann Rodgers
Alternates: Brian Wear
Becki Norment
C. Also present were Lisa Wright, Historic Preservation Officer, and Steve
Methven, Chief Building Official.
2. Discussion of and possible action on approving the foflowing Certificates of
Appropriateness:
A. Kelly and Melissa Wickersham - 574 S. Church Street. Chairman
Starrett presented for the Commission's consideration a petition by the
Wickershams to remove an existing cinder blOCk fence and replace
with a wood privacy fence. Chairman Starrett stated that, in his
opinion, the fence style was appropriate because there are other fences
similar to the proposed fence in the historic district, and he called for
a motion. Motion to approve the petition was made by Paul Denney,
seconded by Sue Lancaster. Motion carried 4-0.
3. The meeting adjourned at 12:01 P.M.
