1. Call meeting to order Jill Drake 4:20 p.m.
2. Role taken. Quorum established.
3. Approval of minutes of September 9, 2014. Motion to approve by Katie Raulston and second by Jerry
Coyle. Motion carried.
4. Citizens forum (open to public)
a. Keith Green representing Carriage House at 2100 Clarksville. He requesting a grant for roof repair
– removing 2 -3 layers rotten wood and changing the roof structure.
b. Sydney Young representing the PCT /Brown Center. Gary also and spoke about the need to enlarge
the scuffers, installing metal parapet covers. John Brooks discussed the various proposed bids for
the roof.
Carriage House Grant request was discussed and a motion was made by Jerry Coyle for $5000 and seconded
by Missy Starnes. Motion carried.
PCT Brown Center. Karl Raulston made a motion to award a grant of $5,000 to PCT- Brown Center.
Motion seconded by Jerry Coyle. Motion carried.
5. Coordinator Updates: Cheri Bedford
a. City Council has approved the sidewalk project -work should begin after the Pumpkin Festival
b. Pumpkin Festival has around 70 vendors -have mechanical bull coming. Code Red will be the
method of information for the weather delay issues 'n the event of inclement weather vendors have
been told to wait out the weather.
6. Committee Reports
a. Organization: Jill Drake - meeting Oct 1 – decided they were to concentrate on volunteers for events
b. Designs: Nancy Waldrum -not present –met Oct 2 –no report
c. Promotions: Kar)Raulston- reported that there are several Mannequins for the Pumpkin Festival
both inside shops and outdoors. Plans are under way for Wassail Fest and the $10000 drawing.
d. Economic Restructure: Jerry Coyle —Cheri and Jerry met - no report.
e. HPC- Beatrice Ardila- Met September 22 committee is working on establishing standards for
buildings for example: roofs and repairs.
f. Chamber Report: Becky Semple - Christmas Drawing Tickets will begin to be distributed after
Pumpkin Festival. Drawing will be Saturday, December 13, 2014. $5000 at 6 pm and $10000 at 7
pm. Christmas Tree Lighting December 6, 2014.
7. Future agenda items: Fire Event 2016
Motion to adjourn at 5:15 pm., made by Glee Emmite, Second by Jerry Coyle. Motion carried.
