Meeting called to order at 3:07 pm.
• Roll Call:
Present: Priscilla McAnally, Todd Varner, Darrel Dickerson, Dale Maberry, Melba
Harris, Kellie Newman, Tim Moore, Kevin Carruth
Absent: Amy Samis, Matt Birch, Mike Wade,
• Last meeting minutes approved after a motion made by Jason and seconded by Darrell
after the following corrections;
The alternate chosen for Dale Mayberry is the on duty Deputy Chief.
The alternate chosen for Priscilla is Judy Vickers.

• After discussion of a safety incident, the committee discussed some recommendations to
present to the City Manager.
• The City Manager reported on previous recommendations presented to him from the
Safety Committee.
• At the recommendation of the City Manager, the committee reviewed locations to place
AEDs and made the following recommendation;
1. Library
2. Police & Courts building
3. City Council chambers
4. Public Works
5. Waste Water Treatment
6. Water Treatment
• Kellie Newman advised committee that Amy had given her a number of employees at
Public Works that would like to attend CPR training. She will talk to the training officers
during their meeting tomorrow and get back with Amy regarding scheduling of classes.
• Looked over and voted on all safety committee slogans submitted by City employees.
"Planning for a better & safer work place" was the winner. Todd Varner's slogan was the
winning slogan by majority vote. Todd elected not to accept the $50 gift card and to turn
it back in to the committee toward a door price for the next dinner banquet.
• Future agenda items: Discuss putting into place a policy for city employees' use of cell
phones.
Kellie Newman made motion to adjourn meeting.
Meeting adjourned at 4:06 pm.
