The Traffic Commission met in regular session Tuesday, February 7,1989, with
the following members being present:
1. Gerald Byas
2. Judy Lutz
3. Frank Sherman
4. Charles Thompson
5. Tom Kolko
6. Edward Ellis
The City of Paris was represented by Police Chief Charles Whitley in the
absence of Assistant Chief James Barnett, who was absent due to an injury.
The meeting was called to order by the presiding Chairman, Gerald Byas
at 5:15 P.M.

The minutes of the last Commission meeting (November 1,1988) were
approved as furnished.
After welcoming Mr. Edward Ellis, the newest member of the Traffic
Commission, a short informal discussion was held concerning the intersection
of North Collegiate street and Loop 286.
The first and only item on the agenda was then considered. This being a
request for STOP SIGNS at 4th N.W. and West Provine Street, stopping
East and West bound traffic on West Provine.
After a brief discussion on this item Charles Thompson made a motion
that Stop Signs be authorized and posted stopping East and West bound
traffic on West Provine at 4th St. N.W.
The motion was seconded by Frank Sherman.
A vote resulted in 6 ayes and 0 nays in favor of the motion.
There being no further business to conduct, the meeting was adjourned at
5:35 P.M.

The Traffic Commission met in regular session Tuesday, June 6, 1989 with
the following members present:
1. Frank Sherman 4. Tom Kolko
2. Gerald Byas 5. Judy Lutz
3. Wayne Fletcher 6. Charlie Thompson
The City Staff was represented by Assistant Police Chief James Barnett.
The meeting was called "to order by Chairman Gerald Byas at 5:20 P.M.
The Minutes of the May 2, 1989 meeting were approved as submitted.
Fisrt considered was a request for Stop Signs stopping East and West
bound traffic on East Cherry Street at Fitzhugh Avenue. After discussion
Judy Lutz made a motion to place the signs as requested. Charlie Thompson
seconded and the motion carried 6 ayes to 0 nays.
Second a request for No Parking Anytime signes on 19th N.W. prohibiting
parking on the West side of the street from the 2000 thru the 2500 blocks
of 19th N.W. After discussion Frank Sherman made a motion to make that
area a No Parking Zone as requested. Wayne Fletcher seconded and the
motion carried 6 ayes to 0 nays.
There being no furthur business the meeting adjourned at 5:27 P.M.
