The Paris Economic Development Corporation and Airport Advisory Board Subcommittee
meeting was called to order by Shawn Napier, Airport Director, at 4:05 p. m.
A. The following members were present: Chris Fitzgerald, William Tolleson, Rebecca
Clifford and Stephen Grubbs.
B. The following members were absent: Jack Ashmore and Sue Lancaster.
C. Also present was John Godwin, City Manager; Shawn Napier, Airport Director;
Jerry Richey, Airport Manager; Ashley Fendley, City Staff; Shannon Barrentine,
Assistant Executive Director, PEDC; Charles Richards, eParisTexas.com and
Lauren Corbell, Paris News.
2. Election of Officers:
A. Chairman
B. Vice - Chairman
This item will be tabled till Thursday, March 6, 2014.
3. Possibly elect another board member from the Chamber of Commerce Board.
The Paris Economic Development Corporation and Airport Advisory Board
Subcommittee elected Erik Roddy the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Board to
serve on the subcommittee.
4. Discussion concerning future development incentives and marketing Cox Field.
Shawn Napier presented to the subcommittee Phase I, II and III of the Airport
Development Project. The Paris Economic Development Corporation and Airport
Advisory Board Subcommittee agreed to let the Airport Advisory Board come up with a
list of positive and negatives to assist with marking the Cox Field Airport.
