REGULAR MEETING
CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 9, 2010
12:00 O'CLOCK P.M.
The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by Arvin Starrett, Chairman at
12:00 p.m.
A. The following members were present:
Arvin Starrett, Chairman
Susan Scholz, Secretary
Douglas Cox
Matt Coyle
Paul Denney, Vice - Chairman
Jerry Raper
B. The following members were absent:
Ben Vaughan
C. Also present was Shawn Napier, Director of Engineering, Planning and Development.
2. Approval of'minutes.fi -om previous minutes. (May 24, 2010)
Motion was made by Susan Scholz, seconded by Matt Coyle to approve the minutes for the May 24,
2010 meeting. Motion carried 6 -0.
3. Consideration of and action on the following Fagade grant:
A. 128 Clarksville Street — Nancy Anderson — Motion was made by Paul Denney, seconded by
Susan Scholz to approve the Fagade Grant.
4. Discussion of and possible action on comparative language of'the Design Guidelines on signage
versus the Sign Ordinance. No action taken.
5. Report and update, from the Main Street Advisory Board by Matt Coyle. Matt Coyle made the
report to the commissioner.
6 Report, discussion and possible action on the final copy of the brochure for the Historic District.
Matt Coyle presented the final brochure to the commission. After review the commission requested
the tax exemption information be added to the brochure. Matt will come back with the requested
changes.
Request items for future agendas. Facade grant, bring back item 4 and 5, report from Robert Talley
on downtown buildings.
8. Meeting adjourned at 12:25 p.m.
