Meeting Minutes
March 25, 2015
Opening:
The regular meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board was called to order at 4:10 p.m.
Present:
Board members present were Fran Neeley, Connie Dodd, Mike Pendleton, Rebecca Umphrey, Ann
Norment, director Priscilla McAnally, and council liaison A. J. Hashmi. Absent were Denise Kornegay
and Carol James.
Approval of Minutes
The minutes of the previous meeting were unanimously approved as presented.
I. New Business:
A. Circulation Policy Revisions:
The minimum patron age for a library card will be five years old starting March 26,
2015. Prior to this there had not been an age limit on patron cards.
B. Membership in the Texas Library Association for the library advisory board has been
tabled until it can be determined exactly what the benefits would for the board to join.

A. No unusual expenditures for February.
B. Statistical Report. Both circulation and visits were higher than last year. Circulation
increased 1.63 %, and visits increased by 7.65 %.

V. Director's Remarks:
Shifting of the non - fiction collection to make room for the biographies has been completed,
and the biographies moved. This has opened up shelf space for the large print books to be
moved around creating room and easier access to the books. Some weeding in the juvenile
fiction has been completed, and weeding in the mystery section has been started.
