SUBJECT: CERTIFICATE OF ELECTION, STATEMENT OF ELECTED OFFICER
AND OATH OF OFFICE

BACKGROUND: On May 9, 2015, a general election was held for the purpose of electing
Council Members to District 4, 5, and 7.
STATUS OF ISSUE: Pursuant to State Law, a certificate of election shall be issued to each
candidate who is elected to office; each elected officer shall execute a statement of elected
officer; and each elected officer shall take the oath of office prior to taking office.
BUDGET: N/A
RECOMMENDATION: An oath of office will be administered to each elected officer.
