Paris Municipal Band Commission Meeting Minutes
Tuesday, December 16`h, 2014 at 4.15 p.m.
A meeting of the Paris Municipal Band Commission was held on Tuesday, December 16th, 2014 at
4:15p.m. at the Chamber office at 8 West Plaza.
Chairman Randy Bunch called the meeting to order,
Schedule was approved by Commission and is as follows:
Friday, June 12"' at Bywaters
Friday, June 19 ", at Bywaters
Friday, June 26`h, at Bywaters
Friday, July 3rd at Noyse Stadium including Firework Show
Friday, July 10th, at Bywaters
Friday, July 17th at Paris Jr. High Auditorium for the annual Crape Myrtle Coronation
The Pavilion next to Love Civic Center will be the alternate location in case of rain.
The Commission discussed that band members have to audition with Band Director Joe Watson. Joe will
submit letters to band members also statin who is eligible to play in the concerts.
Cleonne Drake will continue to serve as secretary.
Patsy Daniels was very pleased with Crape Myrtle Coronation, and will continue as the organizer of this
part of the Municipal Band Program.
On the day of the concerts, the Commission will ask City Parks Department to check lights at Bywaters
since the concerts follow "Movies in the Park ".
The Commission discussed the possibility of inviting Food Trucks to park close to concerts for patrons
enjoyment.
The concert for July 3rd and Fireworks and concert will return to Noyes Stadium.
Motion made by Randy Bunch to adjourn at 5:20, and Patsy Daniels made the second.
